My thoughts on servant leadership is that it is one of the most important qualities and responsibilities a leader must have. A true leader should strive to be selfless, understanding, and have the ability to listen and put others needs before themselves.

It can be difficult in practice as not everyone will be open-minded or responsive to new ideas or techniques, however if a leader has patience, persistence, and understanding they can find ways to bridge gaps between people for their common good.

Listening without judgment is an incredibly powerful tool for resolving conflicts and creating conversation which could lead to successful resolutions. As such genuine care for people’s well being from leaders will result in more productive teams where employees are motivated and engaged in achieving the goals of an organization.
