Service values are the characteristics of a profession that reflect their members’ actions. Philosophical ethics states that professional labor is a reflection of the unique values associated with each field, including engineering and medicine. When it comes to nursing practice, a philosophy assists nurses in identifying the ideas and theories that influence their daily choices (Chinn & Kramer, 2018). My personal nursing philosophy is an essential part of my plan for developing and progressing in my nursing practice. I am a scholar. This will allow me to grow as a nurse educator, and encourage better patient care. This article will describe my nursing philosophy as well as its theoretical basis.
My philosophy as a nurse practitioner is complex and requires that we examine all variables which might have an impact on its development. Nursing performance can be based on the professional values. These values are the foundation for safe, compassionate and ethical nursing (Parandeh and co. 2015). A nurse’s perspective can also be affected by cultural backgrounds, religions and nationalities.
These four pillars form the core of the nursing philosophy: client/person, environment, nursing, and health. The primary objective of nursing is to enhance the health of patients (Chinn & Kramer,2018). My nursing philosophy is patient-centered. I believe that nurses should be practicing this type of care. To make an educated decision about my patient’s care, I must first understand their needs and what they want. It is my duty as a physician to care for every patient. Environment theory emphasizes nurse’s obligation to provide a caring and healing environment (Nikfarid, et al. 2018). My role is to promote a sense of well-being by providing self-care and healing services that help patients feel comfortable and have a positive impact on their mental and physical health. Additionally, I believe that positive outlooks can be fostered by creating a therapeutic environment. One way to reduce anxiety in patients and workers is by creating alternative environments.
