The development of the constitution was influenced by three key issues.
The difficulties faced by the confederation with taxes, trade programs and frontiers as well as military pensions were not uncommon.
There were many emotions when the necessity was realized to defend all Americans against slavery, which infringed basic human rights.

This new Constitution was a landmark in American history, as it prohibited the slavery trade and allowed slave ownership.
History repeats itself. My Viewpoint History repeats itself in cycles. Since the American Constitution was adopted, there have been many significant changes in the economic, political and social lives of Americans.
Is History a Repeating Occasion? The proof is in the course. Initialy, articles from confederations were the law of the land. However, these shortcomings forced the development of a constitution with better governance.
Do Citizens have to understand History?
Yes. It is. It is helpful to learn about the past in order to prepare for future circumstances.
