Social work programs’ effectiveness is measured by the impact they have on their clients. Not the program itself, it is about how the new initiative will affect clients. It is not possible to categorize a program either as influential or ineffective. It is important to follow certain assessment guidelines. Social workers must accept the framework that is used to determine whether a program is suitable. The program’s success isn’t necessarily a result of a successful’start’ or ‘end’. The social work curriculum should be evaluated in light of certain methods and components. The debate focuses on the problems raised by “Implementation & Program Evaluation of Trauma Informed Care Training Across State Child Advocacy Centers” (an exploratory study) about the way the program was implemented and how it was evaluated.
Stakeholder involvement
A methodical approach to assessment is essential for a successful process. Grinnell and Gabor (2019) outline the stages that need to be completed in order for a program of assessment used to assess the management of a program. The initial step involves the identification of the participants. Child advocacy centers (CAC) specialists were among the participants. In the CAC report it is revealed that counselors and case managers were the target audience (Kenny and co., 2017,). This is noteworthy because they actively participate in the case management. It is also due to the stated goals of the program, which includes that studies show that child abuse victims often experience re-victimization after being asked several times.
In this case, the CAC employees would be the best group for Trauma Informed Care (TIC), as they will need to understand how to conduct interviews. This paper focuses on the involvement of participants in the criminal justice process. The integration of child abuse cases in the criminal justice system has resulted in attorneys, judges and police being involved.
This group has a significant amount of legal knowledge. There are however difficulties when it comes to determining if interrogating the child could be harmful for the victim. As the paper indicates, it is possible to train on TIC ideas.
Stakeholder participation can be problematic because the essay is intended to reflect a multidisciplinary program. Notably, there will be many cases involving children that involve people with different backgrounds. The essay demonstrates that it was a great choice to have both external and internal stakeholders included in the program.
Course description
A logic model was used to create the program configuration. The article outlines the goals of the program. According to the authors, the emphasis is placed on ensuring stakeholders have the core competencies of the TIC program. Because studies have demonstrated a link between interrogating the child and revictimization, this is important. According to the authors, if the CAC staff and criminal justice system do not conduct professional interviews with children it is likely that they will cease functioning as rehabilitation centers for victims.
