Each person has the right to basic human development. All parties should protect the right to optimal and healthy health. According to Globalization Principles, health should be accessible to all so that everyone can take full advantage of it as a primary human right. This is in spite the fact that many governments lack a formalistic approach for health policy that ensures that all individuals can exercise their rights. In order to provide quality health care, it is necessary that the triangle of accessibility, acceptance, and quality be considered. It is important to maintain optimal coverage while maintaining high quality care.
Even though everyone should have health care access, LGBTQI communities continue to experience access challenges despite globalization. The LGBTQI community is subject to discrimination and prejudice that can prevent them from obtaining this basic right. If an individual has a different viewpoint, they may be anxious about routine visits to healthcare institutions. Some people are not comfortable with sensitive information health care providers may request to help them obtain certain treatment options (Emlet 2016). Some people find it difficult to talk about their problems with health care professionals. Unfortunately, the current health system is not equipped to handle such people. Health care has not fully accepted racial ethnic, religious and socioeconomic diversity. These professionals will be able to help create a policy that supports culturally sensitive and positive treatment of all those seeking healthcare.
Although the World Health Organization has removed homosexuality from its mental illness list, many communities are still refusing to take its members. These children are often victimized, harassed and abused. They are more likely to engage in risky behaviors such as drug abuse and sexual risk taking after these traumatic experiences. Their academic success and outlook can suffer as a result. Many LGBTQI are involved in early truancy, and they fail to complete their education. Retrospectively, people hide from their emotions due to anxiety, which can lead to further misery.
Although specific measures are needed to address the problems faced by high-risk populations, both the government and civil societies continue to evade this question. The Healthy 2030 goal of the US Department of Health is eliminate all health inequalities and improve the health of everyone. It also promotes equality. The enacted aids for the LGBTQI have not had a significant impact on general attitudes.
