Intense cultural immersion can help preserve traditional cultures that are in danger of disappearing due to technology-driven globalization. Instead of requiring people to move to their homes, cultural immersion allows them to continue sharing their traditions and customs in the comfort of their own home. The exchange of meaningful relationships with members from a diverse community is also possible through immersion in another culture.
Two Black cultural events were the ones I was able to visit in order to learn more about black cultural arts. These cultural events included the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival as well as National Black Book Festival. African-Americans have produced stars in Hollywood, musicians, athletes, politicians, and literary icons. National Black Book honors African-American authors and literary lovers. The event also offers a venue for current industry leaders and emerging talent to connect, share, and develop. The Houston Black Cultural Celebration was organized. It was October 22nd, 2021 that saw the African American cultural festival. The majority of performers and crowd at the cultural festival were Blacks. Festival attendees can enjoy musical performances and other displays over the three-day period. It was evident that many of the displayed visual arts represented the traditions and customs of the African American community. These events are annually held at diverse locations around the United States.
Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival showcases the best examples of hip-hop culture. This cultural event took places in New York City, on the 10th of August 2021. These objectives are to preserve Hip-Hop’s history, foster it, develop new talent, create community and social changes via dance and music, and provide a platform for anyone who is passionate about Hip-Hop heritage to show off its best features to the rest of the world. The black culture event featured works of art by writers that depicted the struggles Blacks experienced in their earliest days. Entertainment events include music and dance, musical performances, education programs, films screenings and a street party that is family friendly. New York City’s best-known events include the Black cultural festival.
