Programs for employee development and resourcing, training, evaluation and training needs assessment are all performed by human resources professionals. As part of the personnel resourcing process, they provide valuable insight into the personalities, skills, and values of prospective workers to help the institution achieve its sustainability and quality care delivery goals. To determine what is causing employee turnover, conduct exit interviews and provide advice to management about how to make the workplace more welcoming to encourage retention. Gather, organize, assess, and organise personnel data. Introduce new employees to company core principles (Eriksson and al., 2017). Assists in ensuring that OSHA regulations are met by providing PPE to workers and giving them the opportunity to discuss their work environment. Assists in recruiting and selecting employees. Conducts interviews for departure and recommends retention-enhancing techniques. Develops incentives and performs performance assessments. Assists in the supervision of training need assessment and creates effective training programs for workers to fill skill gaps.
A degree, certificates, training and certifications
It is essential to have an in-depth understanding of the HR policies and how they are implemented. They often act as counselors and mediators between employees and management. This requires them to have excellent interpersonal skills. They must be able to solve problems. Strong negotiating skills are required to negotiate with union members and workers. You must communicate effectively orally, via writing and through reading comprehension.
You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration. Two years work experience required. A certification issued by the Society for Human Resource Management is required. Must have obtained a certification in talent development from ATD Certification Institute. Education in industrial and organizational psychology and organizational behavior is required. Required to obtain a Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations Controlling Person License.
