Healthcare professionals can use different therapy models to help their clients achieve greater health. Healthcare professionals love this model because it allows for in-depth analysis of the clients’ lives to identify the root cause of their psychiatric problems. Research shows that CBT can be helpful in treating anxiety and depression-related disorders (Hagglund, et al. 2020). CBT helps patients and professionals to identify the causes of the problems and determine how to reward positive behavior. CBT requires patient involvement to ensure patient-centered care. CBT has a very structured approach, making it easy for patients and their families to follow their progress, as well as determine whether treatment is beneficial. This organization allows for open and honest communication between clients and experts. The peer suggested that if one partner is not committed, CBT results could be compromised. CBT requires that patients and therapists work together effectively. In order to enhance the effectiveness of interaction, the parties should show kindness and openness. The downside of CBT is the fact that it does not deal with the wider issue of family or system, but rather focuses on the individual’s capacity to change. But, it is important to remember that the environment around us can have a significant impact on our health and wellbeing. To offer therapy services, licensed therapists in Illinois must have a license.

The benefit of CBT, however is its ability to help clients overcome negative emotions. It indexes them with positive emotions and fantasies. CBT helps individuals deal with traumatic events, which can boost their self-esteem, emotional, mental and behavioral health. According to the colleague, CBT equips patients with useful and practical skills that can be applied in everyday life. This will help them cope with stress long after their treatment ends. The ability to deal with personal and/or social problems should not be lost after successful treatment. Chand and colleagues (2018) also state that the therapy teaches patients to communicate their feelings, as well as how they can resolve any situation. According to the colleague, some patients have experienced a decline in their condition after CBT therapy. Patients may feel compelled sometimes to replay painful events they want to forget. Flashbacks can cause patients to experience reliving painful events that may further harm their health. Reliving negative events may make it difficult for someone to remember them, particularly if the event had a major impact on their lives. The outcome of CBT may also be affected by poor cooperation between the patient and the therapist. While the therapist might be able help the patient overcome their difficulties, bad company can limit the benefits the patients receive from the treatment. It is illegal to practice CBT in Illinois without a license. This could expose patients to the negative consequences.
