My research program will concentrate on mental health. The initiative focuses on the mental well-being of homeless people in Florida and provides solutions to their problems. The issue of homelessness in Florida and the lack of resources for Florida’s poor must be treated as a social problem to ensure that policy changes can be made. A shallow lifestyle has served as a way to escape homelessness in Florida. However, it is only temporary and unsustainable. They lack the ability to access essential services like education and healthcare. These individuals are constantly concerned about where they will end up and what their income source is going to be. Donley (2017) says that there are police sweeps in certain areas, like Florida. These sweeps prevent homeless individuals from establishing permanent residence in one location. Most often, the homeless must give up some of their most treasured possessions. Florida’s local businesses neglect to provide basic services for homeless people, which can lead to eviction. The discrimination made it more difficult for homeless people to live independently, leading to mental health problems among those who are homeless and the poor. We must advocate for reform by creating laws that give priority to homeless access to affordable housing, healthcare and other services.
