There are many problems that schooling can present, and they often differ from one person to another. Each student faces obstacles at some point in their academic life. If someone does not receive the help they need, it could have a significant impact on their academic success. One can feel overwhelmed and want to quit, as I felt early in the semester. Because of the difficult material I was studying, there were two options: delaying or abandoning the class. It was not something I expected to be able to complete my homework in time for academic success. But I managed to keep my cool and embrace the strategies of the course, which allowed me overcome personal hurdles that could have prevented me from completing the course.
Through my academic career I’ve encountered many unique obstacles. Because of this, I have learned to adapt and plan for the unexpected. Obstacles are not uncommon. Because I am a fighter who is never afraid to face challenges, especially those that are personal, they always come my way. The semester was a disaster when my health spiralled out of control. I fell ill two times. During these episodes my body became weaker, which made it difficult for me to function properly and effectively. During my rehab, I also spent a lot of time at the hospital as well as at home. In addition to being unable to complete tasks or concentrate, I had trouble managing many domestic chores.
For the entire semester, my problems were due to illness. It was difficult for me to find the time and energy I needed to complete my projects, study, and finish all of my courses. Unwellness sometimes made it difficult to study and complete assignments, making the recovery process even more complicated. These conditions can make it difficult to get the desired marks when studying or completing courses. My lecturers were very accommodating. I was able to complete the task at a pace that is appropriate for me. It was difficult to get sleep because I needed to adhere to all the requirements. I believe that my personal organizational skills and time management were vital throughout this semester.
For tight deadlines, planning and time management is essential. It was difficult to manage medical appointments, recuperation, and an overloaded workload. To avoid missing deadlines for assignments, I knew that I had to set a schedule that I could adhere to. Thanks to the help of the instructor, I was able complete and submit my coursework within the stipulated deadlines. My recovery was greatly helped by the fact that I allowed myself enough sleep. I was not expecting to score high, despite my belief that it was all gone.
