I have had the opportunity to improve my skills in nursing, including differential diagnosis and history-taking. The clinical placement goals required me to be able to identify the clients concerns and then apply these to NP practice. The client needed me to respond holistically, from an emotional, spiritual, and physiological standpoint. National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties 2017, 2017. My multidisciplinary team worked well together to represent the client’s needs. We also made sure that the unit was functioning as intended. It was a wonderful platform that helped me develop leadership and manage difficult circumstances. To be able to accurately diagnose a patient’s problem, I will continue to practice evidence-based medicine. This includes a thorough physical exam and recording the history of the client. My experience with skin conditions, such as dermatitis and psoriasis was extensive. The clinical placement offered me many possibilities. I discovered my APN skills, discovered my academic and professional interests and was supported by my mentor. This greatly accelerated my professional growth. The program helped to enhance my transferable dermatological skills. It is my hope that similar programs will still exist to help APNs transition to clinical practice (Blanck Koester et. al., 2020).
Hello! Thank you for your amazing discovery. We sometimes attend clinical assignments with many expectations and goals, but it is difficult to achieve all the goals due to time constraints. It is the best way to bring academic concepts into practice in a real world setting. Although skill mastery is possible, it can be challenging to attain without having clear objectives. This obstacle has been overcome by clearly stating the goals that you would like to accomplish in your current department. This is your journey to examine the complex and interdependent relationship between maternal and infant health and postpartum care (Trego 2020).
