Glen fulfills the following requirements. DSM-5 Diagnostic 308.3 (F43.0). Acute Stress Disorder 319.81 Trauma-Related stress Disorder Glen Glen is Aboriginal. Because of stress, Glen has had to be absent from work for a while. Six months later, his father was killed in an accident at the mall. Glen’s father was unconscious and laying on the ground for several hours, before anyone noticed what had happened. Glen thinks that, had his father been white he would have received help. He would still be alive. He is now upset and angry, so he decided to drink alcohol to soothe himself.
2. Treatment Objectives • Help Glen control his intense feelings of rage that generate his stress; • Restore Glen’s emotionally stable condition; • Assist Glen in overcoming his sorrow and loss

The Clinical Anger Scale is an identification test for alcohol use disorders (AUDIT).
Davidson Trauma Scale (DTS)
Clinical Characteristics
Know the basics of drug addiction and show empathy to build trust. A client must have the right to share a trauma event. For normalizing emotions and sensations, it may help to educate the client on common trauma responses.
5. Placement of Treatment
An outpatient hospital provides four months’ of therapy.
Interventions required
Glen’s treatment involves frequent sessions with his therapist. Sessions consist of an open conversation in which the therapist shares Glen’s everyday experiences. The Doctor offers advice to patients on managing their emotions and moods as well as mental changes. (Norris, et al. 2016). He should keep track of how he is feeling before he drinks. This intervention will help the doctor gain insight into the patient’s emotional state before he consumes alcohol.
7. Concentrate on the Treatment
Glen’s treatment focuses on helping him cope with the loss of his father and more importantly, helping him to manage his emotions. The powerful emotions linked with the death of his father overwhelm him, causing him to become angry and turn to alcohol as a coping technique (Voss & Das, 2021). Therapy focuses on the restoration of his emotional stability.
8. Numerology
Glen receives weekly treatment sessions. His sessions are held weekly, indicating that he has moderate stress.
9. Timing
It takes approximately nine minutes for the entire treatment. The doctor may not wish to give Glen long sessions which could cause irritation.
10. Converted Medications
Glen doesn’t have any prescribed medication to relieve stress. However, the doctor suggests that Glen take sleeping tablets to aid him in sleep.
11. Supplemental Services
Glen engages in additional activities like volunteering at the gym for others and participating in various community-based organisations. They can also benefit from the support of social interaction groups that help to restore their emotional equilibrium.
Glen is likely to overcome stress with the help of his doctor and be able to rejoin society in the next six weeks. This is despite his present state. His perseverance is remarkable and his outlook is positive.
