The lesson teacher employed a range of instructional strategies to achieve the learning goals. Small group techniques such as pairing were used to successfully include all students in the learning process (How can instruction help adolescents with motivation?, 2017). The method could be used to provide a form of motivation for teenagers by ensuring their involvement in the learning process. It can also be used to facilitate collaborative writing. The instructor could match students with different skills or performance levels to maximize their potential in the classroom. Peer tutoring was also an option for high-performing pupils. This allowed them to teach low-performing ones how they can help improve their writing skills and read comprehension. The lesson featured peer tutoring that helped poor-performing students improve their reading comprehension. High-achieving students helped them identify the most difficult mentions and mentions of CCVC terms in this lesson (Graham et. al., 2017,). Random questions were used by the instructor to evaluate students’ accomplishments of school objectives and goals.
Peer tutoring and pairing students are the best ways to meet students’ needs. Students can be paired to identify specific obstacles, and students are matched with students who possess superior skills in the area. The result is a more connected environment and maximized benefits (Graham et. al. 2017, 2017). Peer tutoring on the other side, however, greatly improved the reading and writing abilities of students, especially when it came to difficult words and phrases like CCVC words. Classroom tactics were successful in meeting the lesson’s objectives, and in improving the ability of every pupil.
The class gave me valuable knowledge that I can use in my work to improve my education skills. I was unaware of the importance of peer tutoring and class groups. The purpose of class grouping is to facilitate education by organizing students into separate units. The possibility of peer tutoring through class grouping allows students to work together towards achieving their educational goals. In such situations, I recognized the role of the teacher and the ways in which formal and informal evaluations could be used to assess the effectiveness of strategies in meeting the needs of children.
