Multiple baseline design allows researchers to analyze multiple dependent variables simultaneously and discover functional relationships. This can help to strengthen or stop certain behaviours based upon the outcome. This will encourage people to repeat the same behavior over and over again. These types of experiments are possible across behaviors even though each dependent variable must be studied separately. One or more individuals may be involved in this study. Lastly, such experiments can be conducted across different settings to determine how changes in the environment change the dependent variables (Wolfe, Dickenson, Miller & McGrath, 2019). These are where identification variables become important. These variables are behaviors that can be encouraged or discouraged. To encourage people to be punctual, I created the Multiple Baseline Design. This design uses incentives to employees.
Multiple Baseline Design can be used for general purposes.
Baseline research on late-arriving employees will be performed multiple times. This research is designed to reduce tardiness at work and encourage desirable behaviors, such as applied behavior analysis therapy (Rodgers2020). Additional financial compensation will be awarded to participants who are on-time and show up at work. Participants may lose their financial compensation if they fail to show up at work as scheduled. The study team will send congratulations messages to respondents who meet their goals. It was also reiterated that they should show up for work on time if they fail to do so.
Applied Behavior Analysis
The Applied Behaviour Analysis will be used in this multi-baseline design. Notably, these criteria apply psychological concepts of learning systematically to alter behavior in the desired manner (Hidayatullah, Agustiani & Setiawan, 2018). For example, positive reinforcement could be used to encourage a person or group of people to display the behavior. The reward is used to reinforce the desired behavior. This criteria can also be used as a way to discipline someone for unwelcome behaviour. A child who is disruptive to the environment may either be caned or given a break. This will give employees incentives to arrive on time. It’s always a good idea to be on time if you run behind, they remind employees.
