A business’s ability to motivate its employees is crucial for its success. Organizations must use many human resources concepts to ensure that their employees are motivated and committed to providing high-quality service. Limited is a respected company that offers superior service to its clients. To manage and minimize the high workforce turnover rate, the institution must assess its internal business operations, including cultural transformation, compliance with a number of federal rules, and the implementation of various incentive programs (Armstrong & Taylor, 2020).
The biggest obstacle to employee engagement is the lack of financial incentives and poor work practices. When the work environment and nature of the job make it difficult for employees to meet their basic physical and psychological needs, they lose interest. Intuitively motivated employees will perform well when the work environment is conducive to their abilities, when there are opportunities for career progression and promotion, and when performance is acknowledged (Kaiser, et al. 2017). Different job designs are used by institutions to attract employees. These programs prevent most workers from doing more than their jobs (McCoy 2017, 2017). The institution lacks non-monetary rewards such as appreciation and gratitude, which can hinder the effort of most workers. According to the poll, at least 68% lack motivation to go above and beyond their job responsibilities.
It is a motivating factor to have job security. Workers who anticipate positive outcomes from their actions perform well. Workers want stability in their jobs so that they can concentrate on what is important, take calculated risks, and not fear being terminated. If workers lose their jobs for not having good reasons, they will find better employment. According to the poll, 87% of respondents fear losing their job if they have to leave for long periods due either illness or caregiving. Its disregard for work-life balance can be seen in the dismissals of employees who need to take care of their family or own families. Family and Medical Leave Acts protect employees’ rights to go, even if their loved ones are unwell. (Vassallo and al., 2019). It is a crime against humanity to fail to offer job security to sick workers. Bad work/life balance reduces employee loyalty and makes it easy for competent people to leave when there is a better opportunity.
