Thomas Aquinas endeavored to provide evidence for the existence of God. To do so, he came up with 5 arguments; and these were arguments from motion, causation, contingency, and degrees. The 5th is the teleological argument. The first 4 are also called the cosmological arguments. I think these arguments make sense. There must have been the initial mover, the first cause, and the perfect reality. The unmoved mover, the uncaused cause, the necessary and perfect being, as well as the being of order must be God.
